My Background
I’m the quintessential Jill of All Trades. My background is broad by design, I have a wide range of skills, and I actively seek out variety in my work.
I’ve worked in fund development, communications, strategic planning, governance, program management, event production, and operations. In addition to my Honours BA, I have post-graduate certificates in fundraising, publishing, and public policy. I’ve also trained in financial management, HR, anti-oppression practices, and human-centered design.
After more than a decade spent building out my skills and learning from talented colleagues, I began my independent practice in 2020. Clients have included the Canadian Independent Booksellers Association, the Book and Periodical Council, the League of Canadian Poets, Girls E-Mentorship, The Writers’ Union of Canada, the Siminovitch Prize Foundation, the Pages Unbound Festival, and shop613.
My Style
My approach is strategic in nature. I’m both ambitious and realistic. I bring boundless energy, political savvy, and cross-cultural communication skills to all of my work.
While I can and will offer objective insights, I also value subjectivity – you are the expert on your own work. Solutions are only successful when they are responsive to the distinct challenge at hand and built to suit the unique nature of your work. It isn’t one-size-fits-all.
